PROGRAM COLLECTIVE was conceived by four designers and artists working as equal creative partners across disciplinary boundaries: Mona Kim, Todd Palmer, Olga Subirós and Simon Taylor. Working from an international base network connecting Barcelona, Paris, Chicago and London, each partner has worked in fields spanning architecture, design, semiotics, communication, museology and museography for more than a decade. The four share an interest in the application of the new technologies to create multisensorial experiences.

Mona Kim

Mona Kim

She brings multidisciplinary experience to cultural and commercial projects, ranging from fashion advertising to design of multimedia spaces and installations. The synthesis of word, image, technology and public space encompasses her role in various projects. Her independent commissions include installations concepts and branding for the Samsung Visitor Center in Seoul, and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. With the commission from Forum Universal de les Cultures Barcelona 2004, Mona took charge of creative direction for the Voices Exhibition, which received numerous awards including I.D., SEGD, and the Laus Award be stowed by Barcelona’s design community.

Todd Palmer

Todd Palmer

He brings experience as a curator, museum director and planner leading cultural institutions in the art of content in public spaces, heritage sites, new architectural ensembles and landscapes. Working for and with arts and cultural platforms Todd’s creative thought initiatives connect contemporary society to challenging topics (ranging from European identity to indigenous displacement to American segregation to public housing).Todd works to forge a more inclusive civic and cultural sector through collaboration between arts and culture practitioners, academics, grassroots advocates, policy leaders and design professionals. Todd executed art, design and writing commissions for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, African American National Biography and The Studio Museum in Harlem.

Olga Subirós

Olga Subirós

She brings experience in architecture, exhibit design, scenography, museography and curating. She has designed award-winning exhibitions for some of Spain’s and abroad most prestigious museums and cultural institutions, including “Are you ready for TV?” at Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, MACBA, “Big Bang Data” at Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture, CCCB. She has done the architecture for Dora Garcia performances at Venice Biennale and documenta in Kassel. She has done the museography of “Ferran Adrià and elBulli” exhibition at Palau Robert, Barcelona, Fundación Telefónica, Madrid, Museum of Science, Boston and Somerset House, London.

Simon Taylor

Simon Taylor

He brings multidisciplinary creative experience with an emphasis on the intersection of technology, the moving image and sound in space. Simon also lends perspective on successful collaborative practice as a founder and partner of the London collective Tomato, with whom he does a wide range of cultural and commercial projects. Simon very recently directed the multi-screen video experience that anchored the award-winning Voices exhibit for Forum Universal de les Cultures Barcelona 2004. He continues to experiment creatively as an artist, musician and vee-jay with ongoing gigs and exhibitions opening across Europe, the US and Japan.
